The day with a sad note!

Myself trying to recover from a shock of losing a very near relative (my grandpa), had to witness another grief filled moment today!
I was to take the 0658 EMU in the morning. But since I hadn't slept since Sunday, i couldn't resist sleeping till 0620. Finally I decided to take the 0737 EMU. I reached the station only at 0734, and the seats were already full. I decided to stay at the door. I got down at Vashi and took a ticket on the Thane train, and changed over. The coach was 76353 (the leading driving cab). The train was more or less empty while leaving from Vashi (but filled up 2 kms down the line at Sanpada). The train was first held up at Koparkhairane Outer since a Freighter was crossing over into Koparkhairane-APMC Yard. The loco were twin MU-ed WCG2s. We lost about 10 minutes waiting there! The motorman tried to somehow adjust some time, and he was driving at the MPS of 80 kmph. We crossed Ghansoli, and everything normal. Just after Ghansoli advanced starter, I head the motorman blowing the horn frantically, and then a loud thud and a sway of the coach. The train mowed down some one! The train screeched to a sudden and abrupt halt about 100 metres down. The halt extended to about 15 minutes. The train then left.
The motorman surely did not have a good day, and he then kept blowing the horn at every curve, and while entering the platform at Airoli and Thane. We finally reached Airoli, and the train kept still for about 5-7 minutes there! We made it to Thane at 0850, delayed by 13 minutes (Scheduled time is 0833). There was a mad dash to get in, and I really had to struggle in order to get out of the train! That journey was indeed sad - I indirectly witnessed some one losing his life! Poor soul - RIP!
Noon Session: I reached TNA by around 1400. The CBE-LTT Express was pulling in behind an un-identified WCG2. Later on, WCG2 pair 20111+20108 rushed through with a BCNA....

...This movement seems to regular. I notice this almost daily! (The locos change though!). Few minutes after the WCG2 hauled BCNA cleared the platform, a Kalyan Duo, led by WDM2 #18379 rushed through towards Nahur...

...The trailing loco could not be identified! Close behind the Kalyan WDM2 hauled BCNA, the KR4 Ratnagiri - Dadar Passenger pulled in with...

...WDM3A #18933R of Pune. The train was 18-Coaches long, with two reserved coaches. Some time after the passenger went out, an EMU came in, and I jumped it. Around this time, the Mangalore bound Matsyagandha Express was pulling into Platform 7. The loco in-charge was WDM3A #18536 of Erode. The EMU ride was absolutely un-eventful! On reaching Kurla, I noticed that a BOXN rake was waiting at the outer signal to enter the siding lines near Platform 8 to proceed towards Kurla Goods yard...

...The locos were WDM2 #18378 (Leading) and #18345, both from Kalyan. After some time, I took a Belapur EMU, and reached home by 1600. That was indeed a long eventful day!
