A quick recap of what 2022 was!

One word to describe this year: Phenomenal!

After two years that wouldn't ever exit the list of memorable years, Twenty-Twenty two was different for a variety of reasons!

Professionally, 2022 marked the return to my most cherished job, teaching! Although I wanted to explore newer territories, I was back to my comfort spot very early in 2022. The year also saw me move base to a new place - to Kasaragod in Northern Kerala.

The year let me do what I loved the most - travel! My journey tracker shows that I traveled close to 39000 kilometers by Indian Railways in 2022 alone! This year marked the return of travel, with a vengeance! I remember reading about "revenge tourism" somewhere as the world returned from the pandemic slowdown. Perhaps 2022 was a year where I revenged the lack of travels in 2020 & 2021!

I must apologize to all my readers, whose support helped this blog ever since it was born in 2006! My focus over the last year was more on producing video content for my YouTube channel, leading to very little posts here. I really hope to reverse this over the next year and produce more content here.

The restless journeys over the last year has taken a toll on my health - I might be taking a break from travels and slowdown what ever plans I make for the new year! That said, travel is not something I can take a break from! Hope 2023 lets me crunch many more miles and visit newer places!

2022 went down as a year without air travels, and very little road travels.

As we turn pages into the new year, I really hope and pray all the 365 pages of this new year are filled with memories and lovely experiences!

Wishing all my readers a very happy, prosperous and fun-filled year ahead!

Happy New Year 2023!!!

With lots of wishes that all your wishes come true in life... but, remember that better things in life happen only with hardwork.

My India!
My Pride!

A very happy, prosperous, and healthy 2023 to you too. As a weekly traveller between Ernakulam and Whitefield since mid-march, I too have done more than 40k kms on IR in 2022. Like you've mentioned, travelling does take a toll on health. Especially, in the winter months, since my body wouldn't get time to settle in to any particular climate. Alternating between 3 cold/cool days in Bangalore and 4 hot/warm ones in Ernakulam.
